About me

I graduated my bachelor's degree in Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2023. I was also a member of University Racing Eindhoven for over three years. As a kid, I already liked making things and working on hands-on projects. I am also a big Formula 1 and motorsports fanatic. The technology, the engineering, the passion. Everything surrounding such a high-performance environment excites me. From the racing on the limit to the teamwork needed to get to the top, I am all for it. I perform best when working together in interdisciplinary teams as this is an environment where I can learn things from many different fields and expand my knowledge, as I am always curious to learn more. I am also a very helpful person wanting to lend a hand whenever I can. My main interest in projects is in the mobility sector, giving people a fun and beautiful experience to go wherever they want. I am a strong and competent builder, being able to bring designs to life. Using my hands and making things is what I am best at. Going from flushed-out concepts to final prototypes is where I see myself working as a designer.

My vision for Design

Nowadays people are always on the move with all the current possibilities of transportation. Most of these forms of transportation are bad for the environment because of their emissions. I feel like rapid change is necessary to minimize the damage. The problem is that this is not happening. The change from petrol to electric is a change too big and difficult for many and it is therefore going to slow. As a designer, I want to make this step forward more easily accessible for people. Making these new forms of mobility easier to adapt to through the use of design. With good design the user can still enjoy the benefits he/she wants but in a green and clean way. Being on the road gives people a sense of freedom, making traveling great. I want to keep the fun for people in their transportation while making a difference for the environment and the world around us. A big advancement in mobility is the adaptation of electric vehicles. The advancements in battery pack technology through the development of EVs also allow for greater opportunities elsewhere for the technology, for example by powering your home.

For me, looks are just as important as performance. People need to be pleased when looking at my design. Technology is amazing but also difficult for some people to understand. People who have a hard time with technology get separated from the rest of society because everything uses technology in this day and age. For example, the elderly who are not keen on computers have difficulties staying connected with people and products as everything is moving towards a connected world. My design should be accessible to people who do not understand technology. It should be simple yet do everything it has to do. With good design, I could bring technology to more people without making it too difficult to use or understand.
